For a rectangular growing area, a linear lamp moving system is preferable. The self propelled Light Rail 3.5 Intelli Drive is, without question, the finest linear lamp-mover available. It uses no pulleys, chains or gears. Simply ceiling mount the standard six foot long track above the desired growing area and place the lamp-moving drive motor onto the track. The Light Rail 3.5 Intelli Drive is supplied with adjustable switch stops, so that the lamp travel distance can be adjusted to any length you wish. This feature is perfect for keeping the light focused during the early stages of growth while slowly expanding the lamp coverage as the plants grow. What makes this unit shine is the adjustable 0 - 60 second time delay when the lamp reaches a switch stop. This useful feature minimizes the 'tee-pee' growth phenomenon caused by the plants under the center of the track receiving twice as much light as those on the ends. By allowing an adjustable pause at the ends, the plant canopy is kept more even over the growing area. Accepts all vertical and horizontal horticultural HID lamp reflectors. Add the optional RoboStick for complete stabilization of horizontal reflectors.
